Founded by <strong data-start=\"613\" data-end=\"630\">John Carswell<\/strong>, a Southern California native, it spans thousands of works documenting graffiti\u2019s rise from the subways of New York to a global movement.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"925\">\n<p data-start=\"774\" data-end=\"925\">\u201cThis collection represents the heartbeat of graffiti culture, its evolution, its struggles, and its undeniable impact on global art,\u201d says Carswell.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"1218\">Carswell\u2019s passion began in the early 1980s within Southern California\u2019s Chicano community. Surrounded by lowriders, tattoos, and brightly painted freeway walls, he witnessed art that often disappeared within weeks. Its centerpiece, <em data-start=\"1351\" data-end=\"1374\">The Opus of Influence<\/em>, is a <strong data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1399\">105-foot mural<\/strong> painted by nearly 50 members of Los Angeles\u2019s <strong data-start=\"1446\" data-end=\"1469\">Under The Influence<\/strong> crew. John\u2019s daughter, <strong data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"1850\">Gloryanne \u201cBaby G\u201d Carswell<\/strong>, curates <strong data-start=\"1860\" data-end=\"1870\">AMGRAF<\/strong>, the Everett gallery that houses the collection. She oversees exhibitions, manages artist collaborations, and leads youth programs that use graffiti\u2019s authenticity to empower at-risk communities.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2070\" data-end=\"2195\">\n<p data-start=\"2072\" data-end=\"2195\">\u201cWe want young people to see that graffiti isn\u2019t just rebellion.
